How does a tensile testing machine perform tear testing on tape

2024-01-23

As a universal device, the tensile machine plays a lot of roles in every industry. What is the testing method for tape tearing?

Mainly manifested in the following points:

1. When measuring tape tearing, measure the thickness of the tearing area of the sample at least 3 points, take the median, and the thickness value should not deviate by 2% from the median taken

2. Comparing multiple sets of samples, the median thickness of each set of samples must be within the range of 7.5% of the median thickness of each set of samples. When conducting right angle or crescent shaped sample tests, the samples should be clamped into the upper and lower clamps along the axial direction to ensure uniform tightening in parallel positions.

3. The trouser shaped specimen is clamped into the gripper at a certain depth according to the regulations. The specimen is placed on the gripper of the machine and subjected to a tensile test at the specified speed until it fractures.

4. Record the force values of right angle and crescent shaped specimens, and use an automatic drawing device to record all force values during the test process for pants shaped specimens.

The above is the testing method for tape tearing. To ensure the normal operation of the equipment, the maintenance method needs to be done well:

1. Pay attention to the level of the environment and location, as well as whether the power supply voltage is rusty.

2. Whether the buttons on the operation panel can work properly and whether the data has been swapped.

3. Whether the various speeds of the crossbeam can operate normally, whether there are any signs of breakage on the motor belt, and whether the tightness is appropriate.

4. The accessories are replaced according to different test contents, and the machine part is regularly lubricated with lubricating oil.

5. Take away the garbage after the experiment at any time, wipe it clean every day to keep it clean.
